A short
12 miles away from our Bed and Breakfast is one of the most awe inspiring
sites in North America, Denali Park. Here you can see the highest mountain
in North America, Mount McKinley, which is 20,320 feet high.

Denali Park is located approximately 250 miles north of Anchorage, about 5-1/2 hours by road or about 8 hours by train. The park is open year round, although the main road and visitor facilities are open from mid-May through the third week in September.

The park, measuring approximately 6 million acres, also gives you one
of the best opportunities to see Alaska's wildlife such as caribou, moose
and grizzly bear. |
The
95-mile road into Denali Park has restricted access and private vehicles
are only allowed on the first fourteen miles. You will almost certainly
want to travel further on a narrated bus tour or Park Service shuttle.
